Harmonic Lane, Inc. was incorporated in August 2010 with Dr. Eugenia Oi Yan Yau as the founding director. The corporation focused on training, promoting and marketing performing arts talents.

The team at Harmonic Lane, Inc. comprise of music education and child development professionals who work with various organizations to enrich the musical learning experience for educators and students while delivering Music Education programs of high quality standards.

Harmonic Lane, Inc. has provided consulting services to the Chinese-American Planning Council, and founded a series of children’s choral program for their two main centers in New York’s Chinatown.

Harmonic Lane Inc. uses innovative ways to facilitate learning, collaboration and program development in the performing arts.

Dr. Eugenia Oi Yan Yau, Founder

Dr. Yau is currently a professor of music and chairperson of the Music and Art Department at Borough of Manhattan Community College, the City University of New York. At BMCC, Dr. Yau teaches private voice and directs all Choral Program Choruses including the College Chorus, Select Chorus and Downtown Chorus which she founded in the Fall of 2006.

Besides her teaching duties, Yau maintains an active schedule of presenting lecture-recitals on Chinese, German and American art songs at institutions including the University of Texas, University of Michigan, National University of Singapore, Hong Kong Baptist University and De La Salle Lipa University in the Philippines. She has also performed as soloist with the Hong Kong Baptist University Orchestra, Borough of Manhattan Community College Downtown Symphony Orchestra, Interlochen Arts Academy Orchestra, Battle Creek Symphony Orchestra, University of Texas Opera Theatre and Symphony Orchestra and Southwest Texas State University Chorale and Orchestra.

Yau received her Bachelor’s Degree in Music at Hong Kong Baptist University, Master’s Degree at Texas State University, and completed a Doctorate of Musical Arts in vocal performance at the University of Texas at Austin. Yau also received numerous professional recognitions including the Fellowship Diploma of Singing from Trinity College of Music in London, and the Licentiate Diploma of Singing from Royal Schools of Music at London.

In addition, she has been serving as Director of Music for Family Ministries at Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church (FAPC, New York City). At FAPC, she is in charge of all music activities for the Family Ministries programs including the Children’s Choir, Youth Choir, and annual Christmas Pageant productions of more than 80 participants.
